This is easily my girlfriend’s & I go to spot. This place has good cheap margaritas, amazing cheese dip, great food and and an amazing staff that make you feel appreciated , the atmosphere is also a plus.. All-around amazing established, we come here atleast once a week.

This is my go-to place when I get a craving for excellent Mexican food! I've never had to wait to be seated. It feels like a cute hidden gem. The staff has always been kind, professional, and attentive. They have a large variety, and everything I've tried has been delicious! I also love their Friday buffet! I highly recommend El Potro Mexican Restaurant if you're looking for a clean, family-friendly, casual restaurant with very affordable prices. On my last visit (Sat. 3/1/25), two of us ate heartily for under 40 and still had leftovers to take home for another meal. In today's day and time, that's a huge bargain!

Was greeted by Fernando as the host, and Angela was my server. Both were pleasant and friendly in speaking with. El Potro has been a favorite Mexican restaurant of mine for many years. Cozy private booths, ambient Mexican music. Buffet hours are: Friday 11-9, Sat. & Sun 11-3. Food is always very tasty, and authentic Mexican dishes. I had the Texan Fajitas, combination of chicken, beef, shrimp, choice of flour or corn tortillas. Along with a frozen mango margarita, which Angela suggested and was very tasty. The atmosphere is of a real Mexican restaurant, as compared to larger Mexican chain establishments. A wonderful meal, and experience. I recommend for great tasting food, come here.

This is my favorite restaurant. The servers are so nice and we never have to wait to be seated. The food is amazing and so are the drinks. This is my favorite restaurant to go to whether its dinner or just chips and cheese dips and its amazing everytime.

Great Tex Mex probably one of the best in Savannah , Don't know what else could top it that much. All the fixtures come with the chimichanga i got, big portions and great prices. The eat in restaurant is quite nice as well.

Y’all want real Mexican food? Come here! The food was super delicious and tasted very authentic! Our waiter was really nice, he greeted & served us immediately. Chips & salsa queso was good. I had the Guadalajara which came with carne asada & sauteed shrimp. Really full of flavor and tender. The rice was super yummy too! It reminded me of my grandmother’s that’s how I know it’s authentic. Definitely recommend
